Mixing your personal style along with advice on how to wear fashion jewelry will give you an overall look that's unique and appropriate. It's all about having fun and the confidence to pull off a look that's comfortable and complementing.

The factors that determine what type of fashion jewelry you should wear would be your body and face shape, your age, and your height .

When out to shop for a necklace, think about the outfit that you'll be wearing it with. Use the neckline cut of your outfit as basis for choosing the right necklace. Generally, a choker looks great on a high neckline, such as a turtleneck, while a statement necklace that hits below the collar bone looks flattering on a low cut. But always keep an eye on the overall look since the effect can vary.

As for bracelets, opt to wear them on your right hand. If you have bracelets that have some parts that do not have a stone in the center then it has to be worn loosely, and if there is a stone or a gem at the center, it should fit right and not droop on your arm.

When wearing a ring, the thin diamond ring is often best worn on the ring finger, while rings with a gemstone of 10k or more should be worn on the forefinger. The key is to keep it to a minimum: never ever wear more than one ring on one finger.

Wearing a brooch will give you that old world elegance and feel, and it's very much fashionable nowadays . If you want to wear a single flower brooch then pin it on your left, about 3 to 5 inches underneath the shoulder or collar. For those who want to pull off a larger brooch, it works best as a collar link, or you can sport a light scarf and secure it with a brooch. You may also opt to pin it around your waist as long as it complements your overall look.

If you want to pin on a diamond brooch, wear a black diamond one with a monotone dress. A diamond brooch shouldn't be paired with a leather jacket, a sports outfit, or anything denim, knitted and casual. Furthermore, it shouldn't be placed on a coat collar.

Earrings are one of the most popular pieces of fashion jewelry. Long dangling earrings are flattering on tall women and especially those with elongated necks. To better pull off these pieces, you can smooth down your hair as well. Small earrings look great on petite women as these do not weigh down your look. For those with a plus size body type, large stud earrings with stones look great.
