The design of the Tag Heurer Formula 1 Chronograph is inspired by the instrument panel of a racing car dashboard. This TAG Formula 1 watch features stopwatch functions at 1/10 second resolution, great for taking accurate measurements of elapsed time. Other features include tachymeter, a unidirectional rotating bezel with an engraved 60-minute timing scale, and date indicator.

Its unidirectional rotating bezel is made from titanium carbide coating on stainless steel. The 60-minute time scale is engraved in raised, fine brushed steel. The dial window is made from anti-reflective and scratch-proof sapphire crystal. The dials are illuminated through hand and hour markers with Super-LumiNova pigments, making it readable under low light situations.

The watch case measures 41mm in diameter and 12.55mm thick. The case itself is made of fine brushed and polished stainless steel. The caseback is of the screwdown design and has checkered flag markings . The crown also follows a screwdown design and has a twin O-ring seal for protection against water, dust and other contaminants. In addition, the crown has 2 chrono pushers at the right side of the watch.

This watch is designed to operate smoothly even in pressures up to 20 atm, that is 20 times the normal atmospheric pressure. In addition, the watch is also developed to resist water up to 200 meters or 660 feet. This protective design makes it suitable for water activities such as swimming, snorkeling, and casual diving.

A battery-powered ETA Caliber G10.711 provides precision Swiss quartz analog movement for this TAG Formula 1 watch. The Tag Heurer Formula 1 Chronograph offers accurate resolutions for 1/10 second, 1 second, and 30 minutes. The watch band is made from stainless steel, fine brushed to perfection. A concealed push-button clasp is used to close the band. The band also comes with a dive extension.
